Cambridge English Language Assessment offers the world’s leading range of qualifications for learners and teachers of English. We are a non-teaching department of the University of Cambridge and a not-for-profit organisation. Each year our exams are taken by over five million candidates in more than 130 countries.
Cambridge English Northern Europe is currently looking for an experienced ELT professional based in Austria for a position of Educational Consultant who would be interested in working part-time (up to 50 days per year) on a freelance basis from September 2016.
The role of an Educational Consultant is:

  • to establish and develop relationships with current and prospective customers (mainly secondary schools) to grow the candidature of the Cambridge English exams
  • to carry out direct visits to schools and make contacts via telephone and e-mail
  • to carry out presentations and workshops to teachers and students
  • to provide preparation centres and exam candidates with support and advice
  • to provide relevant feedback from the market and recommend follow up actions

Ideally, you will be an ELT professional (teacher/teacher trainer) with excellent communication skills in German and English as well as practical knowledge of the Austrian education system.
You will be a well organised and energetic person with excellent presentation skills and a competent user of Outlook, Power Point, Word and Excel.
Regular travel within Austria will be required.

Cambridge English Language Assessment is a world leader in the field of language assessment. As part of the University of Cambridge we are dedicated to delivering educational excellence. For our regional office in Berlin, which is looking after the Cambridge English Examinations in Northern and Central Europe, we are looking for an Office Administrator to work in the Berlin office.

The main duties will include:

• General office administration;
• Basic book-keeping and accounts;
• Providing front office support, including dealing with incoming calls;
• Liaison with service providers;
• General administrative support for the Regional Director and Heads of Department.

You will have been educated to Abitur level or equivalent, have at least 2 years of further education with a vocational degree and ideally some job experience in a comparable post. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, together with strong organisational and administrative capabilities. Native level competency of written and spoken German together with B2 English (Common European Framework of Reference level) is essential as well as strong computer literacy, including knowledge and ability in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

The ability to organise work effectively using initiative, often under pressure to meet deadlines, is essential, as is a willingness to work flexibly both independently and as part of a team.

Cambridge English Language Assessment is a part of Cambridge Assessment, a non-profit making department of the University of Cambridge and Europe’s largest certifying organisation. We provide exams in English for speakers of other languages taken by over 4 million candidates in 130 countries each year. The exams are recognised by more than 15,000 institutions in the world (Ministries of Education, immigration authorities, Higher Education institutions and companies) and distributed by a network of over 2,700 authorised exam centres.

Cambridge English Northern Europe is currently looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to be based in the Berlin office that covers 16 countries in Northern Europe, including Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Ukraine and Scandinavia.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing marketing support for the key stakeholders in the region. This will involve extensive travel within the region.
The duties include:
• responsibility for the organisation and implementation of the extensive events, conferences and seminar programmes
• coordinating marketing activity for centres and preparation centres
• providing marketing training and support for the distribution network
• evaluating the return in investment.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• Graduate level (or equivalent) education in marketing or ELT
• Excellent communication skills in English (at least at Cambridge English: Advanced level – C1) as well as Polish, Czech or Ukrainian (C2) and good communication skills in German (B1 and above).
• At least 2 years’ experience in marketing or sales, preferably in ELT context
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, ability to work to deadlines
• Very good presentation skills
• Copywriting skills
• Knowledge of Cambridge English products and services is desirable.
• Experience with working with CRM – desirable.

For our regional office in Berlin, which is looking after the Cambridge English Examinations in Northern and Central Europe, we are looking for a Senior Network Services Administrator to provide customer support.

The duties include:

• Providing customer support to all Cambridge English examinations centres in the region.
• Providing support for Cambridge English’s quality assurance procedures in the delivery of exams, ensuring that all Cambridge English standards are met.
• Provide general administrative support (e.g. processing of invoices and claims, help with procedures).

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

• Abitur level and at least 2 years of further education with a vocational degree.
• An excellent level of written and spoken German and English (at least C1 level of the CEFR).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, including organising work effectively using initiative, often under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Good knowledge and ability in such Microsoft Office applications as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Previous experience of providing a high level of customer service.
• Experience in account management / service delivery / Service Level Agreements.
